چکیده
A two-stage pyrolysis–nonthermal plasma/catalytic steam reforming reactor system was used to produce hydrogen from waste high-density polyethylene in relation different catalyst support materials. The materials investigated were MCM-41, Y-zeolite, ZSM-5, Al2O3, TiO2, dolomite, BaTiO3, CaTiO3, and Mo2C. Some of the suppressed generation plasma, while others enhanced it by improving microdischarges surface discharges. Among tested materials, MCM-41 gave highest gas yield 29.2 wt % a 11 mmol g–1plastic. coupling with plasma environment resulted synergy terms total production, which higher than those absence (catalyst alone) or alone (no catalyst). Other parameters using material showed that particle size bed depth affected discharge yield. Impregnating nickel (10 %) on further 33.3 18 g–1plastic due increased reactions. 10 Ni/MCM-41 stable when subjected 3 h stability test showing no significant change gases.

Stable Hydrogen Production from Ethanol through Steam Reforming Reaction over Nickel-Containing Smectite-Derived Catalyst
Hydrogen production through steam reforming of ethanol was investigated with conventional supported nickel catalysts and a Ni-containing smectite-derived catalyst. The former is initially active, but significant catalyst deactivation occurs during the reaction due to carbon deposition. Side reactions of the decomposition of CO and CH4 are the main reason for the catalyst deactivation, and these...

Hydrogen is a valuable gas as a clean energy source and as feedstock for some industries. Therefore, demand on hydrogen production has increased considerably in recent years. Electrolysis of water, steam reforming of hydrocarbons and auto-thermal processes are well-known methods for hydrogen gas production, but not cost-effective due to high energy requirements. Biological production of hydroge...
متن کاملA Novel Study of Upgrading Catalytic Reforming Unit by Improving Catalyst Regeneration Process to Enhance Aromatic Compounds, Hydrogen Production, and Hydrogen Purity
Catalytic reforming is a chemical process utilized in petroleum refineries to convert naphtha, typically having low octane ratings, into high octane liquid products, called reformates, which are components of high octane gasoline. In this study, a mathematical model was developed for simulation of semi-regenerative catalytic reforming unit and the result of the proposed model was compared with ...
